In the United States, non-residential glass and glass-related construction expenditures fell again in September compared with the same period last year. According to data from KMR, a leading information provider in the glass industry, market activity fell by 3.3% year-on-year after seasonal adjustments.

KMR's glass and glass activity data is adjusted and modified based on public building expenditure data, has exclusive rights, and is applied to related sub-sectors of the glass industry. "Expenditure" and "activity" can be used interchangeably, and they represent the value of glass-related buildings that are being carried out in a specific period of time.

Over time, the continuous decline in commercial glass activity does not seem to be that severe, because the industry’s spending has fallen less than 1%, the residential category continues to fall sharply, by nearly 34%, and office buildings have fallen by a little more than 4%, but The growth rate of other industries is only double digits, slightly more than 10%.

Although the commercial-related construction downturn seems to be waning, the glass-related institutional construction expenditures have fallen behind by about 6%, the education category has fallen by 7%, and healthcare buildings have increased moderately by 2%.

On a month-by-month basis, the overall activity of non-residential glass and glass fell by 0.2%, indicating that the situation will improve with the close of 2021 and the beginning of 2022.
