The 2022 International Glass Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany will be restarted again after the pandemic. As an offline professional exposition of the glass industry, it has demonstrated its importance to the global glass industry. This exhibition coincides with the International Year of Glass, with 936 exhibitors from 47 countries demonstrating the excellence of the glass industry to 30,000 visitors from 119 countries. The show's five global trend themes: Climate, Resource Efficiency, Urbanization, Value, and Happiness; but also current challenges such as high energy costs, supply chain bottlenecks, or shortages of skilled labor. At the same time, a three-day carbon emission reduction industry exhibition and European energy storage summit were held, which was very meaningful.

The craft scene and glass art exhibition in Hall 10 once again showcase the top innovations of skilled craftsmen. Craft Live Centre, where young glass artisans from all over Germany compete to demonstrate, hoping to get a chance at the European Skills Competition in Poland in 2023. The live champion was Maximilian Kröger from Diebold, Germany. The first International Trade Expo on Industrial and Commercial Decarbonization ended successfully. Around 100 exhibitors from 15 countries presented their technologies and solutions in Hall 9, discussing the reduction of energy costs and CO₂ emissions as well as energy storage. Investors and industrial users need information exchange on new technologies and cooperation for climate protection.
