Egyptian company to spend $38 million to build a new architectural glass factory.

Egyptian industrial group Delemar has announced that they are building a new architectural glass factory costing around 600 million Egyptian pounds ($38 million).

The Delemar processing glass factory has a floor area of 25,000 square meters and will have a monthly production capacity of 50,000 square meters on the 6th of October City near the capital Cairo, with sales more than doubling by 2023, said Mahmoud Haroon, CEO of Delemar.

Citing local media, Haroon said it will be one of the Delemar Group's projects in the city's industrial zone and will use machinery from the European region.

Haroon also said that the Delemar group has grown considerably over the past few years, with the number of its factories increasing from two in 2011 to six now.

He added, "We plan to increase industrial investment by almost 50% in the next five years... We already have good export markets, including Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Sudan, Nigeria, EU, Canada, Brazil, and others".
