The U.S.A door and window material prices slowed in November.

The latest producer price index from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that material prices in the door and window manufacturing industry fell from October to November 2023, but prices in some categories increased year-on-year.

Prices for door and window materials for flat glass, wood window units, fiberglass plastic products, and architectural hardware remained unchanged from October to November. Flat glass manufacturing, metal windows, metal door frames, and wooden doors all fell -0.1%. Thermoplastic resins and plastic materials grew +0.6%.

Year-on-year data (November 2022 to November 2023) shows that flat glass (+1.1%), metal doors and frames (+2.1%), wooden window units (+4.5%), wooden doors (+1.6%), glass Growth in fiber plastic products (+9.2%) and construction hardware (+0.4%). During the same period, there were declines in flat glass manufacturing (-6.3%), metal windows (-0.5%), thermoplastic resins and plastic materials (-6.7%).
